Dinner on the Grill tonight!!

Blue Cheese Burgers

Perhaps the most delicious burgers we have ever made!

So delicious!

So it's dinner time and we want burgers, and are trying to figure out what kind to make, and remember the blue cheese in the fridge and try to find a recipe online for some healthier version of a blue cheese burger.  We didn't find one we liked so we adapted several and came up with this recipe.

Blue Cheese Burgers:

1 pound ground beef
1 Tbsp dijon mustard
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 onion, chopped
8 mushrooms, chopped
1/2 cup blue cheese
1 egg
1 Tbsp water
Salt and Pepper

Mix all ingredients together.

mmm look at all those mushrooms!

Smile for a picture without letting the 2 year old touch raw meat!!

Shape into patties.

Our burger buns turned out slider sized, so we made slider sized burgers too.

Grill burgers to desired doneness.

Meanwhile, make a salad to go with the burgers.

Kaitlyn's new favorite kitchen gadget!! A Pampered Chef Egg slicer, which also works as a mushroom slicer...

and a cucumber slicer, and olive slicer (not in the picture, but they are in the salad)

Burgers are done, a bit crumbly, but DELICIOUS!!

Yummy fresh dinner!

Kenny getting fancy and toasting the burger buns on the grill

The finished product!!!

Silly girl LOVED the burgers, but wouldn't eat the bun, yet had to hold the burger on the bun to eat it!

We used the burger buns we made on that cooking day and froze!  It was such a quick and easy dinner from scratch! Let us know what you think if you decide to try the recipe!

What are your favorite mix ins for home made burgers?
