GF Flour Blends

Gluten Free Flours and Blends

There are 2 Gluten Free Flour Blends that I try to have on hand all the time:

Original GF Flour Blend

Original GF Flour Blend
2 cups brown rice flour
1 cup arrowroot powder
1 tsp xanthan gum
Whisk together and store in an airtight container.  Mix again before using.

I use this mix for most recipes that call for all purpose flour.  I use them in my recipes for bread machine rice bread, these pumpkin cookies, cornbread, hot fudge pudding cake,

Chickpea GF Flour Blend

I grind most of my own flours (except for coconut flour, and arrowroot powder), and try to keep some on hand for cooking and baking.  Here's what is ground and ready to go in my cabinet currently:

Brown Rice Flour - oatmeal shortbread cookies, to thicken sauces
Oat Flour - crisps,
Buckwheat Flour - pancakes, waffles,
Chickpea Flour - authentic italian chickpea flatbread, Broccoli Flatbread, to thicken sauces
Millet Flour
Coconut Flour -  coconut muffins
Almond Flour - brownies, blueberry coffee cake
